There is a concerning level of secrecy surrounding Republican Senator and former leader Mitch McConnell. The 84-year-old Senator has been in the hospital since June 14th after a disturbing 9-1-1 call that suggests McConnell was unconscious and experiencing cardiac arrest. There has been no official word on McConnell’s condition and no explanation as to what he’s being treated for specifically. While there are growing theories that McConnell may be brain dead, or in a vegetative state, several Republicans are now stepping forward detailing phone conversations they’ve had with him about current events, almost as if they’re providing proof of life, without actually providing it.
