Those travelling through Holyhead port this week will be scanned by live facial recognition technology in a third trial, as part of the UK’s immigration enforcement efforts. This technology is often cited as being controversial, but will be used more widespread by our nearest neighbours and by An Garda Siochana in limited scenarios.
