On peut tromper les hommes, mais on ne peut pas tromper Dieu. Le Seigneur va envoyer le prophète Nathan auprès de David afin de le confronter durement à son péché. 

Lors de son adultère avec Bath Schéba, David s’est livré à 7 péchés. Il va perdre alors sa figure de type de Christ. 

David va faire preuve de bonté envers Hanun, le roi des Ammonites. Mais celui-ci va rejeter son offre et lui livrer bataille.
