It is really difficult to know what topical treatment options to consider when dealing with a ruptured tympanum. When a difficult multi-drug resistant Pseudomonas otitis occurs, it is very common to have the tympanum ruptured. So, what do you do? Being cautious and upfront with owners about labeling is important. However, bad infections are also ototoxic and it is important we treat them appropriately.
