SLP 494: Accepting Things As They Are wi...

THE WELLNESS COUCH
About this episode

‘My Dad right now has been diagnosed with some hardening of the arteries in his heart, and it looks to be pretty serious. I don’t want to make this morbid, but I got a real sense of mortality very quickly. But I feel like this is the same sort of thing. I am pretty sure he is a healthy man, he will be fine, but I think the word is ‘acceptance’. Rather than being scared or not really dealing with it, I know this is a part of life, this is what happens, we can’t be here forever, and accepting things as they are and really asking yourself, if this person mattered to you enough, what can you do for this person to create more beauty, love and joy in their life and support?’ ~ Chaz Arachchi

In this inspiring episode of the Self Love Podcast, Kim chats with Chaz Arachchi about his powerful journey from Sri Lanka to Australia, the deep influence of his grandfather, and the lessons of peace and acceptance he carries today. They explore Chaz’s career pivot from law to physiotherapy, his entrepreneurial ventures in property development, and his insights into parenting and marriage. Chaz opens up about writing his new book The Physio Practice Growth System – a comprehensive guide for clinic owners – and shares practical business strategies, pricing advice, and personal philosophies on self-love and purpose. A rich conversation about legacy, leadership, and living with intention.

Chaz Arachchi is the founder of Robusq Property and PhysioMarketing.co, and the author of the upcoming book Physio Practice Growth System: A Step-By-Step Blueprint to Build a Practice That Runs and Grows Without You. He’s owned and operated multiple physiotherapy clinics since the age of 23, and now leads a marketing agency that helps practice owners fill their diaries, hire with confidence, and scale sustainably – using his trademarked The Own Your Area Method™.

Chaz is also a seasoned property developer, specialising in medium-density, five-storey projects through his company, Robusq Property. He’s personally raised millions to fund developments – all self-taught, with no formal training. When he’s not helping clinics grow or managing builds, you’ll find him in the kitchen cooking for his wife Jess some of her favourite meals or chasing his daughter Emilia around the house.

His definition of Self Love is truly around ikigai – knowing your life purpose. It is honouring the part of you that you really yearn to be and to do.

His favourite quote is: Don’t go for perfection. When you follow that path – your ikigai – you have a new level and new problems.

Quotes: I had an incredibly rare privilege to have an amazing grandfather. I love how calm, grounded and peaceful he was and I loved his simplicity. I am so thankful for all he taught me. Acceptance – accepting things as they are. I have a very high degree of quality. I get off on solving complex problems. No matter how hard we try we just cannot ship junk. Tony Robbins said we are one of three types – the artist, the leader/manager or the entrepreneur. If you are going to go for it – go for it big. I have a mission to thrive in life not just survive. You want them to become a better leader than you. I want to change enough to keep extending the reach and impact. I want to help people ethically increase the lifetime value of their clients. If the value is there they don’t care! Follow your path – your ikigai. Don’t go for perfection – done is always better than perfect. Have the courage to follow your heart. New level, new problems. Accept that they are there but keep going.
