Far-UVC light is a form of ultraviolet light that can kill viruses and bacteria in the air without harming humans. Researchers say it could be instrumental in stopping the spread of illnesses like the flu and possibly future pandemics. Freeze warnings are in effect across parts of the Northeast, while rising rivers threaten areas of the Midwest after a barrage of severe weather. Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond has approved every execution in the state, but is fighting to stop one — the death penalty of Richard Glossip.
