About this episode

This podcast is part 2 of 2 that will give you an approach to Celiac Disease. In this episode, listeners will 1) define celiac disease and its prevalence in Canada, 2) describe the clinical presentation of Celiac disease across childhood and identify common differential diagnoses, 3) outline investigations required for the diagnosis of celiac disease, and 4) discuss the management of celiac disease and review potential complications. The podcast was created by Keiko Marshall and Emily Kacer, second year medical students at McMaster University, in collaboration with Dr. Jenna Dowhaniuk, Pediatric Gastroenterologist and Assistant Professor at McMaster University, who serves as the medical lead of the McMaster Children’s Hospital pediatric celiac disease clinic.
