David va retourner au combat contre les ennemis d’Israël, notamment les Philistins, Edom et les Moabites. Et Dieu va lui donner des victoires retentissantes. 

David a fait venir l’Arche de l’Éternel à Jérusalem. Le Seigneur va lui donner du repos. Mais dans son zèle pour Dieu, David va nourrir un autre projet.
