This is a concise, well-written book on options trading, at points technical, but covering each point clearly and succinctly in a way that can be understood by the layperson. It starts with the basics, explaining what an option is (a derivative, a financial instrument, usually based on stocks), how options work, who uses them and why. Moving on, it covers how options are priced and the variables affecting price, related mathematical models (an optional section), how buyers and sellers use options; types of options (binary, barrier, index, futures, options options, employee stock options); types of trades and strategies, writing call/put options, straddles and strangles, bull call/bear put spread, butterflies, using options for insurance; and options on other instruments. A Glossary/Reference is included at the end.
Helping me to dig deep of Options trading
As a beginning investor, this book is real educational. I learned so much from reading this instructional book. It helped me to understand the difference between the different types of investments and what to expect from each type. I know learning something takes time and mastering Option Trading is not as easy as this book says but I still believe that this book will surely help a lot of people find information on how to get started in doing this kind of trading.
