268: 4 Self Care Ideas All Women Need

Laura Doyle
About this episode

Saturday morning, I was working on my marriage while I was on the beach playing volleyball with my buddies Kevin, Rana, and Scott. And nope, neither of those guys is my husband—he was at home bingeing Viking shows.

It was ridiculously fun—and not just because my setting was on fire! 🌞 But here's the thing: when I got home, sweaty and sandy, I was still glowing from all that fun—and guess who was happy to see me so happy? Yep, my husband, John, was grinning ear to ear to see me.

Back when my marriage was falling apart, I thought self-care—by myself—would only highlight how distant John was. I couldn't see how it could possibly help our relationship. But I was wrong.

What I didn't realize was that my unhappiness was making me pretty… resistible.

When I started practicing four specific types of self-care, everything changed.

Volleyball might not be your thing (I don't get it, but we can still be friends!), but here's the truth: every woman needs these four categories of self-care. If you're not getting them, it could be costing you intimacy and connection—just like it was at my house.

Want to feel more magnetic and desirable in your relationship? In this episode, I share the four self-care ideas every woman needs.
