Mother Charged After Baby Nearly Drowns in Bathtub
Tierra Diane Perkins, 27, from Powder Springs, was arrested after her 10-month-old daughter nearly drowned on October 25. Perkins reportedly left her infant twins alone in a bathtub while she cleaned another room. She was alerted by one of her other children and returned to find one twin with her head submerged and skin turning purple. The child received CPR and was hospitalized for further treatment. Perkins was charged with second-degree cruelty to children and arrested on November 12. She is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
