Coffee’s most powerful polyphenol, chlorogenic acid, or CGA, tells your body’s fat cells to burn their fatty acids for fuel. This is the same mechanism that statin drugs use to lower your cholesterol, without potential side effects. CGA cuts cravings, suppresses appetite and activates the liver to produce more bile, aiding in detoxing your cells. It helps the liver to process fats and glucose more efficiently by lowering triglyceride levels and stabilizing blood sugars.
