Aspiring managers or leaders who show a high level of technical skill are often seen as competent enough to get promoted into senior levels. However, what often happens with these types of skill-based promotions is that while the individual has the technical skills necessary for the job, they often lack the people skills they need to manage and lead well. And this can lead them to underperform in their new position or for their boss to question whether they’re the right person for the job. I created this episode to help you avoid this dilemma.
