Lyle and Marie McCann, an elderly couple from Alberta, Canada, went missing in July 2010 while on a road trip to British Columbia. Their burned-out motorhome was found in a remote area, but their bodies were never recovered. Travis Vader, a known criminal, was eventually convicted of their murders, although the case faced numerous legal complications and controversies. The tragic case drew widespread attention, highlighting issues in Canada's justice system and the struggles of the McCann family to find closure.
