About this episode

It's very easy to overwhelm an already overwhelmed nervous system. Do too much therapy beyond the capacity for the nervous system to adapt and you hit healing plateaus or you get worse. 

More isn't better, better is better. One of the biggest contributors to therapeutic failure is therapy overload. Therapeutic interventions are also stressors. This is one of the fundamental concepts that my patients need to understand to heal from chronic pain and auto-immune disease.
