About this episode

Senegal había mantenido una situación política relativamente estable, hasta que la aparición de un líder político llamado Ousmane Sonko detonó un enorme movimiento social a su favor y una respuesta represiva por parte del gobierno. Por eso, hay centenares de presos políticos (incluyendo Sonko), y muchas protestas sociales. Y, como consecuencia, el presidente Macky Sall, que gobierna Senegal desde 2012, ha pospuesto las elecciones, que debían celebrarse en febrero, aunque el Consejo Constitucional exige que se celebren cuanto antes. Nos lo cuenta Pepe Naranjo, colaborador en África Occidental del periódico.
