Ep 22: Did Gay People REALLY Invent Poet...

Emma and Hester
About this episode

This week we explore Hester's crazy theory that the Gays actually invented Poetry! Exploring the queer coded language of poetry and ancient Gay poets of the past.

We are also joined by the incredible Day Mattar, a cheeky queer poet and performer from Liverpool. Day is the co-founder of Queer Bodies poetry collective, and a facilitator of poetry workshops with various art organisations in the UK.

Day’s poems come from the body, they use poetry as a tool to explore links between the psychological and the physical, the somatic and the sensual.

Day's book is available to buy here: https://www.brokensleepbooks.com/product-page/day-mattar-springing-from-the-pews
