Die Zahl der Toten und Vermissten in Libyen wird laufend nach oben korrigiert. Besonders schwer getroffen hat es die Küstenstadt Darne. Allein hier werden mittlerweile 20.000 Tote befürchtet, wie der Bürgermeister der Stadt erklärt hat. Das wäre jeder fünfte Bewohner der Stadt. 10.000 Menschen werden immer noch vermisst, 30.000 haben ihre Häuser verloren. Dunja Ramadan, Expertin für den arabischen Raum bei der SZ, sagt, die Menschen seien verzweifelt, nicht einmal ihre toten Familienmitglieder könnten sie im Moment begraben.
