31: Why I started Tantric Sex for Lovers...

Anne Bland
About this episode

(NB. Trigger warning of childhood sexual abuse and strong language)

The listeners have been asking for Anne Bland's personal story about why she started Tantric Sex for Lovers and Others podcast and Tantric Sex Coaching. In this episode, Anne is finally ready to get vulnerable and talk about her personal healing story which has been traumatic and painful but also full of love and light, pleasure and connection. This journey has made Anne who she is today and the way she can hold space for her coaching clients in a safe and strong way. As Anne says: "Healing is hard work and that's why we need a Pleasure Path to go with it!" Selfishly Happy Revolution is about becoming more of you, not less. It also means feeling all the feelings, even if they are painful, to release trauma from the body and to bring "all of you" into integration and alignment. As a trauma-informed coach, Anne busts some of the most common myths about trauma and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and explains the five stages of healing from becoming aware and getting informed, accepting help to start healing, and turning your life from survival to thriving, learning your boundaries and establishing self-love and pleasure practices. The good news is that because trauma lives in the body at the nervous system level, it can always be re-wired through pleasure into healing. Humans are designed to be resilient - we just need to know how to do it.
