Leaders Never Play These 7 Office Politi...

Kara Ronin
About this episode

To be honest, the corporate world can be rife with office politics. You’ve probably experienced or witnessed office politics at some stage in your career. It’s bad enough when coworkers engage in office politics, but when it’s a leader, that’s a whole different problem.

In this episode, we’re going to look at seven office politics that exist. I also explain why each office politic is bad and what you should do instead. Some of these office politics are common in the workplace, while others are more extreme.

By learning about these office politics, I hope to not only bring your awareness to them, but also help you avoid getting embroiled in these office politics. Because they will have a detrimental effect on you, your leadership reputation and your future career success.

In this episode, I talk about

  • Favouritism
  • Gossiping
  • Spreading rumours
  • Backstabbing
  • Forming cliques
  • Intentionally withholding information
  • Blackmailing
