As Christians, the power we wield comes from a personal relationship with God that is so strong that we carry His presence with us everywhere we go. Some people simply know about God who go through the mechanics of Christianity; that is not the same as experiencing Him for ourselves. He wants to live inside us and can do so if we fully trust in Him. When we focus on Him and experience His infinite love we are changed and empowered to do things we are unable to do in the natural. Human intellect can only take us so far, but it falls short of trusting God and allowing Him to show us how much He loves us. We desperately need Jesus; the quality of our lives depends on Him and on our faith in His love. By being still and quieting our noisy spirits we position ourselves to see Him for who He is and receive everything He wants to give us.
