We don't have to pressure God to bless us, because He has already blessed us; this truth changes how we pray. We can stop striving under religious effort and start resting in the finished work of Christ because we understand that every spiritual blessing flows from what He accomplished, not from what we perform. Praying from grace anchors us in our identity in Christ; we therefore approach God from a place of victory instead of begging for it. Grace-based prayer aligns our words with what God has already declared rather than with our fluctuating emotions. Because of Jesus, we're fully persuaded that grace empowers our relationship with God and frees us to live and pray from a place of completed redemption.
