كان ( هينريش لورينتس ) والد ( ماريتا ) ، قبطان الباخرة ( برلين ) التي كان الباخرة الألمانية الأولى تعبر المحيط الأطلسي بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية .. عشقت (ماريتا) مرافقته في رحلاته.. وكذلك كانت حاضرة لما رست باخرة والدها في (هافانا) .. يومها جاء ( فيدل كاسترو ) وعدد من رجاله لزيارة الباخرة ..وقعت في حبه منذ النظرة الأولى.
