" I remember when Nawel was a child, she used to love talking to old people. She would call them gramps and granny, make silly faces at them and ask them numerous questions. She used to play dominos against Uncle Moha. He would let her win most of the time. He knew she was a sore loser. She was a special child. She did enjoy the usual games like hide-and-seek, playing catch, hopscotch and all sorts of ball games, but she also enjoyed less common activities. For instance, she used to love writing poetry. We don’t know where she got that from. Neither her mother nor I loved poetry. Also, there used to be a live wrestling show every Saturday and she couldn’t wait to watch it. She was a huge fan of The Undertaker. Her favorite food was spinach for some reason, which was quite strange for a young child. When I think about her childhood, I can hear her laughter, I can see her sticking her tongue out, I can almost taste the candy that she used to share with me behind her mother’s back. She is a strong and caring woman now. She still loves talking to olde people and teasing them, making them laugh. She became a hospice nurse. "
