About this episode

Ciao!

In this episode we'll look at when to use "un", "uno" and "una" as the unspecific article for nouns.

:)

...

un - standard masculine:

un libro

un treno

un giorno

uno: 4 main cases: before z, s+consonant, ps, gn.

z: uno zio, uno zucchero

s + consonant: uno sport, uno spaghetto, uno spettacolo

gn: uno gnomo

ps: uno psicologo

una - feminine:

una casa

una sera

.... mela

.... ragazza

.. and "una" before a vowel is shortened to "un' " - f.ex "un'amica" - a female friend.

Ex:

sorella

amico

studente

arancia

Excellent! 😊
