On this week episode we will be diving into the Pillar of Fitness with DPT Dalton Cousin!
Dalton has a very extensive background in the field of exercise science and kinesiology. He started by obtaining a Bachelors degree in Athletic Training and an Associates degree in Business Administration from Alfred university. This was followed by a Masters in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Southern Georgia University and now Dalton is currently attending The Ohio State University and is in route to becoming a Doctor of Physical therapy.
While obtaining his education Dalton has been and continues to train collegiate and professional athletes. His training spans from rehabilitation and preparatory work to creating full season strength and conditioning programs for these athletes.
When it comes to the inner-workings of the brain and the body, Dalton has a very unique approach. He is very passionate about the importance of approaching training and rehabilitation from a systematic whole body stand point opposed to segmenting the body from the brain.
Todays episode featured discussions about the brain and nervous systems role in movement and rehabilitation, the most effects forms of recovery for athletes and general population clients, the current dogmas and ideologies of the health and fitness industry, the truth about stretching, the ins and outs of the importance of hydration, breathing dynamics, benefits of a bear foot lifestyle, and how your mindset is just as important as your execution of your mindset.
Yes, we say this every week but we promise you will NOT want to miss this special episode!
