In this archive addition of my Sporting life Danny Kelly is joined by a man who is widely considered the finest cricketer New Zealand has ever produced, Sir Richard Hadlee. He was the first bowler to take 400 wickets in test cricket. In first class cricket he spent a decade with Nottinghamshire winning the county championship twice, hitting over 1000 runs and taking 100 wickets during one celebrated season in 1984 and all this along with many other achievements earned him a knighthood in 1990.
