About this episode

A year into the pandemic, we all feel like the light at the end of the tunnel keeps moving away from us. It has been a challenging year to say the least and with that a lot has come up to the surface. In this episode, Nawar and I discuss how we have noticed shame resurface in a very visible and destructive way.

We are shamed for any opinions we have on this invisible, yet mighty virus. Whether we stand for or against the vaccine, whether we believe in conspiracy theories or not, all of us seem to have a very different opinion as to what is “right” and “wrong”. Yet we enforce our opinions on others by shaming them for thinking differently and this is a story as old as time.

The way we both see it, we must move beyond our personal opinions and beliefs in order to reach a state of unconditional love for all beings. We rose above our own fears of sharing our truths with you in hopes to show you that integration in society can only happen when we have compassion for one another.
