The Mental Health Conversation People Do...

Dear Media
About this episode

Dr. Arman Taghizadeh, also known as “Dr. T”, is a Johns Hopkins trained psychiatrist who is Board Certified in both General Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He also specializes in Sports Psychiatry and is on the advisory board for Victoria's non-profit, The Hidden Opponent. He has been featured in Baltimore Magazine as a “TopDoc” every single year since 2016. He is currently a faculty instructor at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, where he teaches seminars and supervises residents. On this episode, Dr. T joins Victoria for a unique discussion to analyze the ways in which destigmatizing the conversation around mental health has actually presented new issues... Have "anxiety" and "depression" become buzz words? Is it now the "cool" thing to have mental illness? Has normalizing the issue actually perpetuated it? This conversation is fascinating and a must listen for anyone interested in supporting the mental health movement!
