This is a very special bonus episode, featuring the 4 members of the New Zealand team that won the 1992 Eisenhower Trophy. It all started last year when I watched a film of the 1992 Eisenhower Trophy win which is a very important part of New Zealand Sporting history. I thought it would be great to reach out to the players and ask them about the significance of that win and also find out what happened once they turned professional.
I was very fortunate to speak with the guys Firstly, I speak with Stephen Scahill who tells me the story of how a call from Michael Campbell set them both on a course to success. Then, I speak with Michael Campbell who came second that week, and he tells a very funny story about the Eisenhower presentation. Michael also goes on to talk more about his 2005 US Open Victory! I then speak with the Eisenhower individual winner Phil Tatuarangi, before chatting to Grant Moorhead who is the only New Zealander to have won both team Eisenhower Silver and Gold Team medals. I also had to ask Grant about the famous celebration (sorry Grant!) and I also ask Grant to reflect on their careers.
