Hey Guys, welcome back to the Hole In One Golf Podcast, I'm your host Jack Bull.
It was a huge honour to be joined on this episode by Australian Tour Professional and recent New Zealand Open winner Brendan Jones! Brendan was a hugely popular winner in Queenstown and had a lot of support there, he’s always been a great supporter of the New Zealand Open and the Australasian Tours!
Brendan reflects on the win and tells me how he prepared in Queenstown, after carding a sensational 62 on Saturday. Brendan shares some great insights into his game and tells me the one piece of advice which changed his career.
Brendan had a very successful amateur career, winning the Australian Amateur, before representing Australia at the Eisenhower trophy, where they placed 2nd. Brendan then turned professional and got off to an absolute flier, holing in one in his very first professional tournament! Brendan has played most of his Golf on the Japan tour and is widely regarded as the most successful overseas player there ever, clocking an incredible 15 wins in Japan and earning over 1 Billion Yen in prize money!
We also talk about the potential prosect of LIV golf coming to New Zealand and Brendan shares more on his plans for the year ahead. Many thanks for such an interesting and insightful chat Brendan!
