Burgmuller: Op. 100 No. 10 - Tender Flower
I almost forgot about this one! The tenth in Burgmuller's set of 25 etudes for piano - I forgot I had recorded this one along with the previous nine and just came across it. This etude (exercise) is intended to provide technique for repeated notes played by independant fingers. I ... Show More

Clementi: Sonatina Op. 36, No. 5
The next in the Clementi Sonatina set that I've been working on. This was actually recorded many months ago, but I haven't had time to publish it :-) This performance did not turn out great. I would label it as "sloppy" and "rushed" in many parts. However, I am just as human and ... Show More

Mozart Piano Concerto No. 24

Beethoven String Quartet, Op. 132, Part 2
If you joined me last week, you heard about the severe intestinal illness that Beethoven suffered from during the year of 1825.  Beethoven thought that he was near death; he was spitting up blood, in terrible pain, and regularly begged his doctor for help.  Ensconced in Baden, a ... Show More

Mozart's 'Requiem' premieres in Vienna
Synopsis Wolfgang Mozart died on Dec. 5, 1791, leaving behind an unfinished Requiem Mass, commissioned anonymously by Count Franz von Walsegg, a 28-year-old Austrian nobleman who had the ignoble habit of passing off works he commissioned as his own. The Requiem was intended to be ... Show More

Mozart Symphony No. 41, "Jupiter"
Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony is a piece that can practically define the classical era symphony. Mozart pulls out every trick in the compositional book and practically sums up everything written before him. It is a symphony full of musical cliches, self-references, and in some cases, ... Show More
