About this episode
Todd and Lucinda are in the studio for pet questions, advice and animal news stories! On Sunday 28th June an estimated 3,000 people attended the funeral of Japan’s most famous cat, Tama, in Japan after the 16 year old cat died of heart failure. In 2007 Tama was appointed stationmaster of a failing, rural train station, Kishi, in Wakayama Province after the human station master left the position. She was credited for raising the passenger numbers on the line by 10%, and bringing in an estimated $8.9m to the region. Happily the station has chosen an apprentice of the same breed to try and replace her.
