AN OCCURRENCE AT OWL CREEK BRIDGE by AMB...

JON HAGADORN
About this episode

"An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge" by Ambrose Bierce: In this highly acclaimed short story, a southern farmer is accused of being a spy by the Union Army and finds himself about to be hung from a bridge trestle. This is one of the first short stories to use a "stream of conscience" narrative, and a story that has been used in countless movies and television shows.
