The centennial is yet another example of this nation’s complicated and often messy history. Black women who fought for the right to vote found themselves sidelined in the face of racism and political calculations. In our very first episode, CNN Political Director David Chalian and CNN Senior Political Reporter Nia-Malika Henderson examine the role of diversity and inclusivity in the major messaging of the Democratic Party, while sharing the often overlooked stories of the Black women who paved the way for a new generation of leaders
