In this video, I explain seven ways we use the phrase "make up" in English. Until Doctor Luke from Poland pointed it out, I never realized how complex the term, "make up" is in English. We use it for making our faces pretty; we use it when we make up work or time. We use it when we need to make up a bed. We use it when smaller parts make up a larger thing. For a few seconds, I also mention how we use "make up" sometimes and at other times, we use "made up."
