Directed by Academy Award nominee Amy Berg, The Case Against Adnan Syed will explore the 1999 disappearance and murder of 18-year-old Baltimore County high school student Hae Min Lee, and the subsequent conviction of her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, a case brought to global attention by the hugely popular Serial podcast.
In Part 1, we meet Adnan, Hae, and their friends in the magnet program at Woodlawn high school. When Hae disappears and then is found dead several weeks later, Adnan becomes the prime suspect in her murder. But there is also Don, the boyfriend of only 10 days who may have been the last person to see her alive. New investigators TRACK DON DOWN and attempt to get his side of the story.
