Turning Failure Into Triumph with Barbar...

Rebecca Minkoff
About this episode

Barbara Corcoran wants to have as much fun as she can while she lives on this earth. “I always plan for fun – FIRST.” The real estate mogul and frequent guest on Shark Tank is an expert in business, but she makes living an enjoyable life her first priority.

Barbara is, however, no stranger to adversity. While she may make multimillionaire-dom look easy, she wasn’t born into a life of privilege. Growing up in New Jersey, she, her parents and her nine siblings shared a two-bedroom apartment. It was this modest upbringing that gave Barbara the freedom to take a chance on her own business. “I had nothing to lose and nowhere to go but up.” Now on her third successful business venture, Barbara shares what makes a company thrive, and how the worst experiences can become the greatest motivators.
