About this episode

At the top spot on our list, it's the two greatest players to have ever lived. It would be fantastic had just one of these men come along at the same time as The Football Ramble, but to have not one but two, both seemingly vying for that right to occupy the title of Greatest Player Ever in our time is incredible.

As we finish our Christmas countdown of the best, most interesting events and themes since we started the show in 2007, it's an absolute pleasure to spend some time discussing the continuing narrative between Messi and Ronaldo, forever intertwined in a blur of speed, skill, trophies and goals. Two individuals rightly occupy our number one spot in a show about a team game. That should tell you everything you need to know about their quality.
