The Importance of Core Values with Bryce...

About this episode

Shortly after graduating from college, Bryce Maddock decided to leave his job as an investment banker in New York City to start a business with his close friend from high school, Jaspar Weir. The two moved down to Argentina to open up a frozen yogurt business that ended up falling flat, leading Bryce and Jaspar to move back home with their parents before starting their next venture together.

Now, Bryce serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of TaskUs, a digital outsourcing service that is revolutionizing the customer experience. TaskUs —which turned out to be a far more successful venture than the frozen yogurt company — employs more than 15,000 people across the world today.

In this episode, Chad and Bryce discuss what Bryce learned from the failure of his first company, how TaskUs attracts talent by emphasizing a great company culture, and why communication is the key to a successful business partnership.

If you enjoy Bryce and Chad’s discussion on culture and communication, Bryce recommends checking out the book Crucial Conversations.
