He was a business owner in Anchorage Alaska and was viewed as a respected member of the community. But he was also a serial rapist and murderer, killing at least 17 and raping more than 30 women. He selected the majority of his female victims from 4th avenue in Anchorage, a place where topless bars were numerous and sex workers were out on the street.
