Saudi YouTube watchers outnumber other countries by a long-shot, we got an entertainment ministry, we have comedy clubs, and there’s a TV industry. Quite the difference from 10 years ago, today we have a general conversation on what the acting scene is like in Saudi & what to expect if you’re interested in taking part in it.
Nadia Malaika stumbled back into acting years after her last performance in high school drama class. She helped to organize and then act in a local rendition of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest play. Logistically a nightmare, it had the benefit to reignite her craft, where she was introduced to the Jeddah acting circuit.
