Some experiences don't end when you physically leave them behind.
In this episode, I'm sharing my experience of living through the wars in 2024 and 2026. From everything that happened and how those periods unfolded in my life, to the decisions, emotions, and moments of uncertainty that came with them.
This is a very personal episode, but also one that goes beyond my own story. I reflect on how these experiences have changed the way I see life, safety, belonging, and what it means to carry the weight of something even after you've physically moved away from it.
There were moments when I realized that the hardest part wasn't being there during the war, but not being there. Being physically safe somewhere else didn't necessarily mean feeling at peace, especially when so much of what I loved was still in Lebanon.
And if there's one thing these chapters have made me realize, it's that despite everything, I've only grown to love and appreciate Lebanon more, not less. Not because I've forgotten what happened or learned to overlook the difficult parts, but because these experiences have made me appreciate the country, its people, and everything it has given me in ways I hadn't before.
This is probably one of the longest episodes I recorded this year so far, but there was a lot to unpack.
