Title: The Girl Who Borrowed Tomorrow
Level: Intermediate (B1-B2)
Description
Mira Fenwick is fifteen years old, and she is always worried about tomorrow. One cold Thursday, at the end of the market in the small town of Hollin's Bridge, she meets Tamra, a mysterious woman with white hair, a young face, and golden eyes. Tamra calls herself the Keeper of Days, and she offers Mira seven silver coins. With each coin, Mira can live through tomorrow and then return to today, remembering everything.
At first, the coins feel like magic. Mira gets the best mark on a test, avoids the rain, and always knows what people will say. But slowly she stops feeling surprised, excited, or truly alive. Then her last coin shows her something terrible: a fire at her grandmother's bakery. Can she change the future before it happens? And what price will she pay for every day she has borrowed?
This warm and magical story is written in clear, simple English for intermediate learners at the B1-B2 level. Listen and learn useful words about time, feelings, family, and everyday life, while you enjoy a story about worry, courage, and learning to live one day at a time.
