In this episode of Verdict with Ted Cruz, Senator Ted Cruz and Ben Ferguson discuss the final day before the midterm elections, analyze Haley Stevens’ endorsement of Mike Rogers in Michigan’s Senate race, review the political and media response to that decision, and examine a New York Times report alleging Democratic involvement in efforts to influence Alaska’s Senate ballot through candidate recruitment. They also emphasize the importance of voter turnout and the stakes of several key Senate contests across the country.
With Election Day one day away, a dramatic development in Michigan's Senate race takes center stage. Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens publicly endorsed Republican Mike Rogers after a bitter dispute with Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed, creating one of the most consequential late-campaign moments in a closely contested race. Ted Cruz and Ben Ferguson examine Stevens’ decision, the reaction from Democratic Party leaders, and what the endorsement could mean for voter turnout and the final outcome in Michigan. They discuss the controversy surrounding El-Sayed, the political fallout from Stevens breaking with her party’s nominee, and the broader debate over principle versus party loyalty in modern politics.
