Shoot Around is back. It's been about a month since our last Friday show, and the official explanation is that Rob Horry is an old man who has to sit out back-to-backs. Episode 150, with Robert Horry, Rob Jenners and Brandon "B-Dog" Harper.
It's Halloween weekend, so we start there. Harp has wanted to go as Blade for two years and keeps putting it off. Horry stays in when he's in LA because the whole city turns into a street party. The last time he dressed up was in San Antonio, as a Grim Reaper nobody recognized.
Then your questions. Marcelo wants to know if players hear the arena music, and whether the home team gets a say. (Also, Marcelo, Hornets-Wizards tickets were cheaper than a bottle of Dasani at the game.) Q asks about the NBA putting chips in basketballs, and Rob Horry is not a fan. Craig asks if Rob ever thought about naming his son Junior. He did name his son Robert, and he'd change it if he could. The upgrade story on the school trip is a good one.
In between, we argue about Jay-Z headlining the Super Bowl and who we'd pick instead, from Drake to Morgan Wallen to the Foo Fighters. Then Horry admits he listens to country music, which was supposed to be a secret.
We finish with evil genius moments. A guy on Reddit swapped out a road sign 13 years ago so he could make a right turn. Rob Jenners tops it with the story of his old boss, a glass studio door and a pack of half-pound weights. And Horry explains what was really going through his head on the Steve Nash body check.
