What happens when a comedian’s protest slogan starts being repeated by politicians?
Shreyas Manohar joins Cyrus Broacha on Cock & Bull to share how getting bumped off a protest’s performance lineup led him to take his material to the streets and watch it reach Mamata Banerjee and Tejashwi Yadav.
They discuss Gen Z’s role in the protests, political disagreements at home, Imran Khan’s detention, police action and why celebrities hesitate to speak out. Cyrus also considers joining a protest, provided it starts at 4 a.m. and finishes before his workout.
Along the way: Arnab Goswami, Govinda’s gun incident, Shah Rukh Khan offering Cyrus his phone number, and why cricket heroes shouldn’t be defined by borders.
