Ep. 296 | Jesus Chose to Be Homeless (He...

Called to More
About this episode

Do you ever stop to think that the King of the Universe had nowhere to call home? In this episode of Little by Little, Fr Columba reflects on Luke 9, where Jesus tells a would-be follower that "the foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head." The passage is usually read as a warning about the cost of discipleship, but Fr Columba sees something more in it. Jesus wants to dwell in the hearts of his disciples, and he still comes to us like a beggar, knocking and waiting to be let in.
