Was Jaylen Brown's departure from Boston about more than money? Ric Bucher examines the growing controversy surrounding the Celtics' decision to trade Brown, his comments about Jayson Tatum, and Brian Scalabrine's disputed reporting about Brown's alleged trade demands.
Ric also explains why Tatum's evolving game is validating his optimism about Boston, how the Trail Blazers have made Ja Morant, Damian Lillard and Deni Avdija work together, and why Nick Nurse deserves credit for winning despite LeBron James' defensive shortcomings.
Plus: Why the NBA's growing injury problem may require changing how the game is officiated — and who really deserves blame for the WNBA Finals scheduling controversy.
