Apples & Oranges w/ Adrian Johnston

About this episode

Alright, welcome back to Žižek & So On. This week we have another interview with the brilliant Adrian Johnston.

LISTEN TO THE FIRST ONE HERE!

We’re talking Adrian’s Munich paper on Quantum History, why Hegel was never a determinist, the open past, Benjamin’s angel of history, technofeudalism vs. the labour theory of value, Dupuy’s enlightened catastrophism, and why history is NOT on our side!

Are we left to choose between a parallactic apple and orange where Žižek picks the apple: quantum physics and mysticism, and Adrian picks the orange: biology and a secular materialism?

See you in Paris,
